Update from Chiang Mai Immigration

I successfully got a 60 day extension due to covid today at Chiang Mai. No under consideration period, fully stamped in to the end of January. I entered Thailand on a Non-O visa for marriage, and already used my 60 day visit family extension which was expiring on Nov 26.

This is what I brought with me

Printed email showing that the Canadian embassy won't issue extension letters

Covid extension request that Tod Daniels posted in this group, but they made me redo this form on an all english version

TM7

TM30 receipt

STM2

Acknowledgement of Penalties for Visa Overstay

Passport photocopies for name page, all entry stamps and visas, and TM6

Photos

It took less than an hour from start to finish, no problems whatsoever. Hope this helps

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user successfully obtained a 60-day extension on their Non-O visa for marriage at Chiang Mai Immigration without an under consideration period, receiving full extension validity until the end of January. They provided various documents including proof from the Canadian embassy, a Covid extension request, and other required forms. The process took less than an hour without any issues.

Cory Rose Just wanted to confirm if you did this at Promenada or the Immigration near the airport -- I've been seeing conflicting comments, last time we were at Promenada they told us we'd have to go to the one by the airport for this. Is that what you did?

Update, my wife and I who are both Canadians successfully got 60 day extensions yesterday for 1900 baht.

Stamp was extended to January 29th from Nov 30th.

Whole process took about an hour with the help of this post and some of the volunteers at the Chiang Mai Immigration double checking the paperwork before we went inside.

Thanks for your help

Well, if that's not the strangest thing I've heard all day :O

As recent as yesterday, C/M was handing out 30 day extensions, and actually one person got a 38 day one (go figure)

Great News (especially for people up in Chiang Mai) that you can just go apply and get the 60 day extension without the under consideration stamp and going back to get the extension stamp.

Congrats Cory (y)
