I got my DTV approved this month. I am wondering do I have to maintain 500K baht (equivalent) in the bank throughout the 5 years?

I used to hold retirement visa. When come to renewing the visa, I need to present bank statement for the entire year.

TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa), there is no need to maintain a bank balance of 500,000 baht throughout the five years. However, if you wish to extend your visa while in Thailand, you may be required to present proof of that amount, similar to the requirements for a Retirement Visa renewal. It is also worth noting that immigration requirements can vary, so it's essential to check with the local authorities.

Depends where and when as they make up the requirements as they go.

If you are looking to extend inside Thailand you need to show you still meet all of the criteria. A border bounce is probably easier

No need to maintain fund same as Retirement Visa. However if you wish to extend in country Immigration Offices are asking for same paperwork as initial application ie proof of 500k funds. (PS: You are not renewing the visa for 5 years)
