I think you are mistaking 60 day visa as in thats how long it last from when it is issued. UK residents can stay 30 days visa free. No longer.

UK passport holders can enter Thailand with no visa for 30 days, not 60. If you were going to Vietnam you could do 30 days, in Thailand then go and you would get another 30 when you return.

that was the principal I was working on.

This year it has changed 🇹🇭 is now 60 days & 🇻🇳 is 45.

I’m used to being charged lots as travel to Vietnam quite a bit but Thailand is new to me.

as soon as you leave without a re-entry permit you visa expires. You can get a re-entry permit at the airport for 1000 baht if your visa is multiple entry.

totally wrong. As soon as you use a single entry visa it’s expired to use your word. The entry stamp is what matters.

Certainly don’t need a reentry permit for a multiple entry visa.

100% you don’t need a re entry permit for a multiple entry visa. The only time this would be needed if you’re on the “second” year of an OA visa where the second year isn’t multiple entry.
