Hi all, I am getting invited from my Thai company partners (Canadian passport) to conduct business/attend meetings etc on the visa above (no need work permit). 

Ideally I would stay for about 4-5 months, with multiple entry given my work would require some regional travel. However, my partners are only able to invite me for the 3-months single entry visa (not sure why, but their legal firm says so), rather than the 1-year multi-entry visa. They mentioned I can change my visa to multi-entry at the airport.

Questions: 1) Do you know if under this visa, I can simply renew another 3 months or switch onto another type of visa later (so i can stay up to 5 months?), 2) do you know if indeed I can change my single entry --> multi entry visa upon arrival?

You aren't gonna change a single entry Non-B to a multi-entry ANYWHERE in thailand, 😮 not the airport not the immigration office.

you're gonna get stamped in ONCE for 90 days on that single entry Non-B and you're done..

There's no issue with them giving you paperwork inviting you and asking you get a multi-entry Non-B from the consulate.

In fact they should say you're going to travel in and out of the country several times and NOT mention at all the number of entries.

You should just apply for the year long multi-entry one and see what happens

Thanks Tod for the advice. I will recommend them so. Do you know anything about Q1 as well? As there is a complete black box between me, the company, and their legal firm, it's hard for me to get to the bottom of this. Your insight is appreciated!
