Hi. My 1 year non immigrant b visa will end soon. The company plan to extend on 7th February at Chaengwattana. I have a trip on the 15th February but if I remember right there is a 1 month wait before you go back to get the actual stamp put in.
My questions now:
1) I canโt remember if they hold my passport after the application and if they do, how long?
2) Am I able to leave the country whilst thatโs under review?
Thank you so much

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can leave Thailand while your Non-Immigrant B visa extension is under review, but you need to obtain a re-entry permit. This permit is valid only for the 30-day under consideration stamp issued after you apply for the extension. It's essential to return before the stamp expires to complete the visa extension process.
Yes, you can leave the country IF you buy a re-entry permit (which will be valid ONLY for that 30 day under consideration stamp) <- that means you have to return before that stamp runs out so you can go to the immigration office on that date and get the year extension inked in.
