Hi Can any 1 help please I I'm going to Thailand in October with a six month single entry visa from hull after I have done my 60days and get a 30 day extension to make it 90

Can I fly out for a day or so and get another 60 day then another 30 days to make my 6 months when I come back in or do u have to do a border crossing

As I will be in TAK just up from Kamphaeng phet

Where will be the best place to go

Again, are you asking for a SETV to thailand? If so the answer is NO, you buy one at the thai consulate in Penang Malaysia, but you don't need a visa to get into malaysia as a brit.

, the money hasta be in the account for 6 months worth of statements (if you're using Hull)

No you need the money in your bank when you apply for the visa. It can be borrowed money as long as it's in your account. Once you have your visa you can return the money and come to Thailand with as little or as much money as you want.

Why don't you just get a 6 month METV <-multi-entry tourist visa from the thai consulate in Hull BEFORE you wing your way here? There are reports that it's not that hard to get there.

Yes that's me, and yes Hull issue a 6 month METV in about an hour (if you have all the correct docs). Same day service.

Are you talking about getting the visa for Malaysia at the Penang airport ? If that's your question you don't need a visa to get into Malaysia.

You get a SETV for thailand at the thai consulate in Penang

 No one gets a 6 month METV in S/E Asia without legally living in the country you're applying. Most ALL the consulates around here to two day service; turn in your passport the morning of one day, pick it up the afternoon of the next business day.

I dunno, there are reports of people sayin' they got it at the Hull consulate but I don't think it's same day service..

Just to clarify Ben... You have to go to an embassy to get a 60 day SETV. So, plan accordingly....cant get one at a border crossing. And it takes a couple of days. Look through the forum posts.....hundreds of comments on which embassies in the region to use.

Second tip. Join thaivisa forum and find the visa board and read all coments regarding Vientianne. Pay particular attention to the administration Ubonjoe his advise is above all others. Reach out to this community.

Ben I'm in Uthai thani.Tak is good for trips but less than useless to visa run. Advise to go to Vientianne is sound .

I usually go 2 nights to ensure I can get there early to apply.

Some embassies will require proof of hotel reservation, flight out of Thailand, and proof of 20,000 baht. But, it depends on the consulate/embassy. Some can take longer than a day as well so, make sure you know what you're getting into before you book a flight.

Fly out to kl ,hk,sin,mum,pp,yg,kb be at the embassy on time to drop , check for close + holidays online, check the correct application and copies and paper , pick up next day at time and fly home , 1 night , aprox tripcost 20.000

A 6 month setv does not exist. Can you please clarify what visa you have or post a picture? There is only a 6 month metv and a 60 day setv.

Vientiane Laos to get a new SETV as it's one of the few that don't require proof of onward flight, etc. Otherwise, Penang Malaysia or Savannakhet Laos are good options to purchase a new visa. Alternatively, you could border bounce by land twice and get 30 days each time (limit 2/year) then extend the second one at immigration in Thailand.

Yes.... 2 month SETV can extend by 30 days in Thailand. Then go out, buy new 60 day SETV and do it again.

K.... ignore original comment.... never heard of a 6 month SETV. If you go out you will either need a re-entry permit or, when you come back in, you get 30 days (exempt entry).

Or - you can go someplace for a day or two and get another SETV. Many people go Malaysia or Lao. I just came back from Philippines. Difference is stamp at airport = 'visa exempt' 30 days. vs. another SETV 60 days. Both can be extended 30 days.

Your setv would be exp 1 only entry, if you leave then rtn, you get 30days visa exempt stamp then you can extend again at immagration within the country 1900bht for 30 days
