Hi guys,

I've come to Thailand on a METV and I've already got a 60 day extension at the Mae Sai border crossing (in/out) + 30 day extension at the HH immigration office.

The enter before date on the visa is the 10 July.

Queston: Would it be possible to use the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing into Burma (in/out) to get another 60 day extension, would I have any issues just going over and back on the same day?

I'm an Irish passport holder.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Am I right in saying that there are no border passes @ Ban Phu Nam Ron? You'd require a valid Myanmar visa to cross at that point.

Ranong is probably the nearest to Hua Hin- I believe you can get the boat to Myanmar from there and it is still open for visa runs.

Perhaps trying another border, or just heading to Laos would be a better decision.

Thanks for the reply. I think you are correct in saying I'd require a valid Myanmar visa. I haven't found too much up to date information online about this crossing.
