I have a multiple entry tourist visa and I soon need to make a border run to extend.
My question is? Will a land border crossing give me the maximum 60 days extension? Or do I have to take a flight?
Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A multiple entry tourist visa (METV) allows you to make a border run at land crossings or by flight to obtain a new 60-day stay in Thailand before the Enter Before Date. Users have confirmed that land border crossings, like the one at Mai Sai, work without any issues for extending the visa.
It's a little far to go just to border bounce from Bangkok or places in the south ;)

If you have the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa and you are still before the Enter Before Date you will get a NEW 60 day Admitted to Stay period, this can be done at border crossings or by flight.
