Hi there, on a 6-month METV, can I do a border run for my next required 60-day stamp by coming back on the ferry from Langkawi (Malaysia) to Koh Lipe? Does immigration on a small island like Koh Lipe give the stamp that I need for a fresh 60 day stay (still within the time of my METV)?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you should be able to get a 60-day stamp upon returning to Koh Lipe from Langkawi. The immigration office at the ferry docking point will provide the stamp if you present your METV paperwork and passport. It's advisable to check the stamp to ensure it's a TR60 for 60 days.

Great - thanks for this, Tod.

Shouldn't have any problem getting stamped in at the immigration office where the ferry docks when you come back

Print out the PDF of the METV (if you got an eVisa from your country) and hand it with your passport to the officer stamping people in

CHECK your stamp to make sure they stamped you in on a TR60 stamp and it was for 60 days BEFORE you walk away from the desk
