Hi, I am currently here on a non-visa 'exempt 30-day' entry. I will next apply for a non-O marriage visa, and I had read I can do this 'within the country' but am unable to find where this 'in-country form is.
Do I need to physically book an appointment with Cheangwatthana to just first go and collect a form for this application? - or, is it possible to apply online first with the documentation required?
Maybe I am mixing something up here!
Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand under a 30-day visa exemption and wants to apply for a Non-O marriage visa. They are unsure if they need to collect an application form in person at Chaengwattana or if online application is possible. Community responses clarify that an appointment is not necessary but recommended for faster processing, and at least 15 days must remain on their current stamp to apply for the Non-O visa. If they have fewer than 15 days, they should first obtain a 30-day extension at Laksi before applying at Chaengwattana.

okay lets try NOT to make it any harder than you have to ๐
You need a MINIMUM of 15 days left on your current stamp to apply for the in country Non-O visa at Chaengwattana for 2000baht.
You DO NOT need a booked appt (it just makes it faster), If you don't have an appt you get a queue number and just queue up with everyone else.
SO if you're not going to the immigration office with at least 15 days left on your stamp, you go to Laksi and get the 30 day extension FIRST,
then you can go to Chaengwattana and apply for the in country Non-O visa in Section C-1

Thanks, clear and straightforward ๐

and you should go out to Chaengwattana and get the hand out from section C-1 that lists the requirements to apply for the in country 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage, because it's a fair number of copies, and documents, and photos, and bank book updates, etc
Since making the post I found online the correct form (TM87) . However using the immigration online booking system, the only date available for 'Visa Issuance' service is not until 22nd Nov... This is only 7 days before my 30-day exempt entry ends... there is no other earlier timeslot free. Yikes!
Will this just not be done in time then if I apply on that date? Has anyone achieved this because I note on your doc it says the application needs to be

days applied for, before the current exempt/visa ends. Thanks
you can also get a 30 day extension to your visa exempt entry which you get from IT Square Laksi

As you are married, you can apply for a 60 day "visit family" extension and this will then give you ample time to apply for the visa

Hi, thanks and noted, so to summarise:
1) My 30-day exempt entry ends Nov 28th
2) I have an appointment at Cheang Watthana on 22nd (7 days prior to the 30 day) to apply for a single 90-day non-o marriage visa.
3) As this is a short 7-day window prior to my 30-day exempt ending, I should first go to Laksi on (say 20th?) and apply for a 30-day extension, just to ensure the marriage visa timeframe application on the 27th has enough time?
I didn't realise the online bookings would be so far away (3 weeks for the marriage application). I should have booked one as soon as landed to be safe. Thanks.
