I live in Bangkok next to BTS, can I do my Non-Imm O at Samut Prakhan instead of CW? It appears to be so much easier to get to.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa at the Samut Prakhan immigration office instead of the Chaengwattana office. Comments clarify that the visa application must be submitted at the correct office based on the user's residence, specifically mentioning that if the user lives in District 1, they need to go to Chaengwattana. One commenter explains the transportation options from BTS stations to Chaengwattana, emphasizing the ease of access despite the user's initial preference for Samut Prakan.
It's really is EASY to get to Chaengwattana from any BTS station.
Take it all the way to the end of the line to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Station get off go out exit 1, walk to the taxi/motocy area and take one the 4km to the government complex on Chaengwattana Road. Taxi costs just over 50 baht
but surprisingly ALL BTS stations are connected to one another, one after the other. From any station you can get to any other one :P Just takes a little doing
, and that technically isn't correct either. There is the one new extension that they conveniently forgot to connect to the rest of the BTS lines, and you must take a bus, until they get the connection plans approved, and built. I forgot its color code.
You have to determine if you live in District 1. CW is for D-1. But Muang Thong Tani is the new temporary office for D-1 so you have to go there. Of course all this info is on the Thai immigration website

he's doing a Non-O visa/extension so he definitely goes to Chaengwattana. The Muang Thong Thani location is only for people on 30 day visa exempt, 60 day tourist visa entries, 90 day reporting, TM30 and certificates of residence.
