TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is inquiring about the possibility of applying for a 60-day visa extension before their current visa expires in order to switch to a Non-B visa. They also seek clarification on the procedure for extending a family visa in Chonburi, especially in light of the upcoming expiration date and changes regarding the Non-O spouse visa. Responses confirm that a 60-day extension is indeed possible, and emphasize that if the individual is legally married to a Thai citizen and holds a Non-O visa, they can obtain a work permit without needing to switch to a Non-B visa.

If you are still legally married to a Thai, and on a type O visa extension based on Thai wife then you can get a work permit with that extension. You do not need a type B visa extension, except in a few situations. Most businesses don't know this, so they push you to get a type B.

I have so big investments coming that I need 3-5 come break even and after that can get taxed salary. No rush I'm patiently here doing my new life🙏
having a work permit under a type O extension based on Thai wife makes no difference in citizenship, or permanent residency. If you are not married to a Thai then the road to citizenship becomes a much lengthier process, as you have three years working before you can apply for permanent residency, then you have 5 years after that before you can apply for citizenship, continuously working the whole time, and making at least bt80,000 a month if not married. If you are married, you can do it in three years, continuously working making at least bt40,000 a month. This is easier to do on a type O extension. Being under a type B visa extension puts your whole time at the mercy of who you work for, as they can cancel you, and use that as leverage over you. They can't do that with the type O extension. Just something to understand
you need 3 years unbroken visa or 1 year if married with a child and 3 years of continuous tax payments. If you decide to go back to a non-o for citizenship purposes you will reset your clock back to 0. If your long term plan is to apply for citizenship then you are better off not changing over to non-b just to change back to a non-o.
thank tomorrow I go try. Otherwise I fly to get my non b outside. I think my agent is arrange all ready but we are middle moving our Restaurant and guesthouse business and would be better finish all this first🙏 Can I get terminated that extension just flying out or first immigration office?
