Can I apply for a 1-Year Marriage Extension after being on Amnesty in Thailand?

I’ve transferred my 400k and this will be seasoned fully on September 15th.

My stamp expired on the 28th of May and I’m on amnesty , my 1 year NON imm O multi entry visa based on marriage expires on 18th Aug.

My Plan now is to wait until 15th September when my 400k is fully seasoned and apply for a 1 year extension of stay based on marriage.

Now I’m hearing I can’t do this as I’ve been on amnesty you can’t transfer to 1 year marriage from amnesty.

Is this correct or does my current plan seem correct ???

Okay, IF your original entry stamp was from the correct visa type (in your case a Non-O visa) and you went directly to amnesty from that 90 day entry stamp, you CAN indeed apply for a year extension straight off amnesty as long as you meet the requirements.

I don't know who you're "hearing" you can't do it from but they're incorrect.

Why not go and get a 60day extension based on family first which would keep you safe and legal until your funds have seasoned?

Not true in Korat. I just got a 1 year extension from amnesty. Take Robert’s advise and contact your local im ofc.

The amnesty is until 31 july, after that it is still not officially confirmed, I would say wait for the official announcement and contact after that your local immigration office.
