I am applying from London in December (I am only home for 12 days over Christmas so I know itβs a big rush including public holiday days). I already have my flight booked back to Thailand. Say I get it issued *after* Iβve flown back would I be able to leave Thailand and enter from a different country to activate it or would I have to return back to the UK? Thank you ππΌ

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on activating a Thai DTV visa if it is issued while they are back in Thailand after a short visit to the UK. Community members suggest doing a border bounce to activate the visa and advise on the potential challenges due to Thai embassy closures during holidays.
Yes I did i went back in on a metv then a day later got my DTV went for a weekend to Singapore and activated it on return it will have your flight details on cumming from UK so keep your ticket π
Good luck with that. Remember that thai embassies take thai holidays so they will likely be closed on the following dates in December, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31 plus January 1 and they quote a 10 day processing time. You'd need to be pretty confident you had all the information required

Just do a border bounce and present the printout of the DTV approval to the immigration officer upon entry.
