I am not sure if this question has been asked but I am a South African passport holder. I have had 2 x 30 day exempt entries into Thailand and one 30 day extension. Can I apply in Kuala Lumpur at the Thai embassy for a 60 day visa to come back? And if not will I be allowed back in on another exempt? I am sorry but I find the info on the Thai embassy website quite confusing. Thank you so muchπ

TLDR : Answer Summary
A South African passport holder, who has previously utilized 2 x 30-day exempt entries and one 30-day extension, inquires about the possibility of applying for a 60-day visa at the Thai embassy in Kuala Lumpur. The response indicates that the Thai consulate in KL does not issue tourist visas to South African passport holders, suggesting alternative locations such as Penang or Kota Bharu in Malaysia, or Vientiane or Savannakhet in Laos for visa applications.
Whether you'll be questioned by passport control when you stamp into the country on a 30 day visa exempt entry is anyone's guess.
There's no telling if you'll stake thru or be questioned. I'd at least have the proof of 20K baht (or the equivalent) in cash and proof of onward travel within 30 days just in case you're asked.

Nope, the thai consulate in KL will not issue tourist visas to people with S/A passports :/
If you wanna get a tourist visa from a thai consulate in Malaysia you would use Penang or Kota Bharu, otherwise you would go to Lao and use Vientiane or Savannakhet
