to clarify, applying at a Thai Consulate nearby (Vientiane) for a 90 day visa the 400k THB could be in a Thai bank account or the equivalent amount in another bank account, BUT applying at Udon Immigration it must be in a Thai bank account only, right? 🙏
that's fantastic info! Thank you! May I ask how long the 400k needs to be in the bank both before and after, if applicable, for both Thai child or marriage visa initial applications and then extensions? 🙏
you're referring to the child not being legally mine until we are married, right? Does it make me ineligible to apply? The supervisor who questioned me about why I was entering visa exempt at Nongkhai this morning never mentioned we needed to be married when she advised/ordered me to apply 😉...maybe it slipped her mind..
further to your and the other Moderator's replies, and on a related matter to my original post, if I renew my extension of stay based on my Thai kids (Non-Imm 'O' visa based on my kids originally) in a North-Eastern province, can I then use this extension of stay to get a work permit in, for example, a Southern province?
P.S. I will apply for and hopefully receive the extension BEFORE I even consider moving elsewhere. Just trying to figure out if I will have problems down the road in the event that I have to move for work. Thanks for both of your replies so far,
How long are you actually permitted to move alone to another province for if the reason for moving is for work, which pays a salary to allow me to provide for my dependants? I ask because if I have to move, it will be a while before my family can join me due to things like being in the middle of a school term, rental contract etc etc Surely even Immigration allow a certain amount of leeway in cases like this. 😯
