This is why I chose to drive 340 mile round trip to Hull because I didn’t want this hassle of the online system after reading everyone’s posts about the trouble they are having. Good luck, hope you get it sorted!!
you can apply for a new visa from your home country if you still have a valid one in your passport. It just null and voids the one in your passport when you get a new one
6 months but you can get 9 months out of it. As long as you return to Thailand just before the end of the 6 month visa you will get stamped in for 60 days and can extend that for 30 days giving you nearly 9 months
We have had two from the Hull consulate back to back. It was just easier as they issue it there and then. You can email all your documents in advance and within 24hrs they reply to say yes all in order. Their criteria is a return or onward flight within 8 months. You don’t have to show a flight out after 60 or 90 days. Although a 170 mile trip each way it was worth it. A few of my friends have had a nightmare with the London online system.
I’ve had two back to back METV’s from Hull. You can email all your documents and they will check them within 24hrs and email to say come and get your visa. I think as long as your letter says that you still have a job when you return it will be fine. We didn’t bother with London as the online application is a nightmare. Hull METV is issued immediately. Easy, stress free.
No from Hull. Not sure if London is the same. Can you email and ask? We only had accommodation for the first 5 weeks and it was fine. London embassy was much closer for us but Hull was so simple!!!
