that's what I mentioned that it depend upon bank branches... I tried many branches in Bangkok, even one of the employee at chaengwattana immigration told me to check bank branches in building of immigration and I visited but no luck. Then one lady give me address of headquarter and when I reached to headquarter, they opened my bank account within 2 hours. This is about Bangkok but other cities, I don't know.

I can understand, everyone has a different situation. If you are married and have tourist visa, then open bank account in other branches even in tourist areas... About language, when you spent time in Thailand then you will learn thai but when you are just new and come to Thailand, u can't talk in thai on first day.

other places, it's hard to open and mostly the staff can't speak English. In headquarter, all the staff can speak English. I tried so hard and visted around more than 20 branches but all of them know nothing. At the end, I have to go headquarter and they opened...

he must be in Thailand. He has to go headquarter, other banks will not open. I faced the same problem

Go to Bangkok bank head quarter near saladaeng bts. They will open for you.

Go to Bangkok bank headquarter, they will open bank account for you. All of the staff can speak English. I had the same problem too. I opened mine at headquarter of Bangkok bank. No need to give money to agents. Its near saladaeng BTS. Thank me later. They will open for free, just take 500 baht cash to deposit in bank account.

Thailand has very strict laws. I am married and I have kid also but still I have to show damn 400k baht every year in my bank account to apply for marriage visa every year.

And after the visa is issued, we can use this fund or it will be in bank account for 5 years.
