I don't see a problem but the immigration officer said I needed to renew my passport before my next extension in April 2025. I wondered if he had a genuine reason or a mistake

what part of no dont you understand. It's not like Thailand were they have a system in place to record who comes in and goes out. The UK does not have such a system.

yes I know that but reread what I posted. My renewal is due April 2025 to April 2026. My passport expires August 2026 but I've been told to renew passport before April 2025
