I think I have seen the question here but unfortunately can’t find the thread.
I’m in Thailand right now since 2 months on a tourist visa, I’ll go to Taipei in few days to apply online for the DTV.
Could there be any doubt not to get approved as they can see I got salary but I was the last two months in the country, which mean I was working illegal in Thailand.
Lived in Thailand for 5 years, built a house, a small business cafe, a guest house, a wife from Thailand. All this time I was in the country on a tourist visa without any violations ever. But one fine day the immigration service came to us .... as a result, deportation home. This happened in September, 2016, 3 years have already passed. I was voiced by one of the officers that deportation for 5 years due to illegal work, there is a stamp in my passport on my case. The officer at the airport was not able to voice the deadline for my deportation; I did not receive any deportation documents. Can anyone comment on my stamp, is there a deadline? Waiting for another 2 years is already unbearable, and scary, suddenly there are 100 years ... :(
I know that this has probably been asked many times, but here goes..
With regards to working online (digital nomad style) with only overseas clients (nothing to do with Thailand), would this be considered illegal work if on a holiday visa? And does the situation improve if on a spousal visa?
I have heard there is a digital nomad visa coming out soon, but want to see if present day it is illegal or not
