I am interested in applying for a retirement visa. Currently I'm here on ED visa. I'm curious if anyone has taken this route, could share some advice on the best way to proceed. Since I'm already here, do I still need medical and police clearance? Also do I need to first apply for 90 day non O then get a one year extension or apply directly for a one year visa? Is there a step by step procedure to take ? Thx

Today I did a medical clearance for my work permit at Bumrungrad. From start to finish I was done in one hour and 15 minutes for 675 baht.

They asked if I needed a Covid test. I said no. End of conversation. They never tried to sell me on it or say it was compulsory.

Next week I’ll be renewing my Non O visa at CW. I’ll let you know then if they say anything about Covid requirements.

Suggestions for getting 'medical clearance' for non-immigrant O-A visa? Does one have to take all the medical tests requested ... and there are many! I am in Oakland, California and will apply at Thai consulate in LA.
