Hi does anyone know if the 180 days or less to avoid tax implications start from each calendar year Jan to Dec? Or is it rolling fron time of entry? For example you arrive in beginning of November get 60 days extend another 30 and your now at start of Feb. Does that mean you only have 90 days max left until November or 120/130 days from the new calendar year?
Hi there, I’m asking a question on behalf of my partner who is from the UK (he doesn’t have facebook). He is working as a teacher in Bangkok employed full time (work permit etc). He lives in bangkok with me in my condo. And only returns to england a few weeks a year to visit family - his question is - is he supposed to pay any kind of UK tax on his thai earnings - or is he exempt from UK tax until he moves back and gets employment there. So if he were to transfer money from his thai account to UK account - HMRC wouldnt be questioning the source of funds ?
