1) I was on a non imm O from Savannakhet valid until Feb 2021. While on the amnesty I got a retirement extention of stay based on 800k. It was issued on 31 July but only valid 30 July 2021. I understood that extentions of stay granted during the amnesty were valid from 26th Sept. Is this correct?
2) Will I be able to go on an extention of stay based on marriage and a monthly 40k coming in to my Thai bank account from abroad for 12 months when this current retirement extention of stay expires next year (as things stand now)?
If currently in Thailand on extension of stay duration (tourist visa) until 26th September and have been offered a business position ( 4 employed Thai people to one foreigner etc) as it stands what can one do? Do you still have to leave the country and return and have a tourist visa converted or other process ( not possible currently). Is the process possible internally. Genuine business proposition. Interested in the mechanism of obtaining a OA visa (I believe) while in situ. Thanks.
@[Robert Rosenthal]([members only]) Which counter should be used to make a case for 30 day needs based extension coming out of Amnesty from September 26 onward?
Hi, I'm on a non-o, multi-entry visa, issued at Savannahket, expiring mid December this year (Thai wife and kids, no 400k). My last border bounce was 16/03/20. So I'm on amnesty now. I have never had a 60 day extension of stay. Is the 60 day extension my only option at this time? And then hope that the land borders are open when this extension expires? Thanks.

Hello people, would just like some clarity on something: for those on a tourist visa, do they need to ask permission from immigration after July 31st to extend their amnesty to September 26th? Or is their stay in Thailand extended automatically, with no visit to immigration needed? Thanks 👍
Hi out there, anyone with any information regarding this: Non O (marriage visa expired 21st April), under amnesty as of today. Used to go to Mukdahan to renew yearly (I do not have the 400K in bank). Borders not open, Any idea on how this will unfold and what I should do to renew my Non O (money is the issue). Thank you for taking the time to reply...
My Permission to stay stamp says I have to leave Thailand 25 July 2020.
I'm Australian and entered on a Non Immigrant OA 20190725.
I cannot avail myself of the 2nd year as the Thai Embassy in Canberra only issued the visa for 3 months. I didn't catch the error before leaving Australia. Anyway that issue was covered here many months ago.
Now I need to know how my situation fits in this so called Amnesty? Which expires 20200731.
FYI I'm trying to get a Cathay Pacific Flight out of Swampy 20200725. (The permission to stay expiration date.
What is likely to happen if that flight is a no show/cancelled?
And I'm obliged to stay until I can find another flight to Australia.
I want to go home. I'm not looking for some angle to stay.
I know crystal balls are out of fashion however I think my situation can be addressed from current facts.
My friends friends from Hong Kong were made to pay 7000 THB in overstay fines at Bangkok international 2 or 3 days ago. I thought there was an amnesty so what's going on there?
