I'm not trying to do an extension or border bounce. My plan has always been to go from Bangkok over to Siem Reap and stay there for a month.
I have read several posts recently about the possibilty and/or need to provide 'proof of departure' out of Thailand, either to an air carrier heading towards Thailand or to the customs and immigration agents upon entry into the country.
There have been mentions of booking a 'real', cheap, one-way ticket out of the country or using the Onward Ticket app. One response mentioned that a bus doesn't count because it only takes you to the border. Since I am leaving the day after Christmas, cheap airfare wasn't an option.
Does my full-transit one-way Giant Ibis ticket from Bangkok to Siem Reap work as proof? I'm spending a month there in Cambodia before coming back to Bangkok for 6 weeks then on to Vietnam for three months.
Any Bus experts here. So far I’ve got the bus twice from BKK Ekkamai to Koh Samet (Ban Phe). Google maps show a route that takes 2.5hrs. Both times the buses stray miles off that route and take 3.5 hrs. Does anyone know a bus service (not a taxi) that goes directly please .
I have to go for my Visa soon and I was wondering what was the best way to go to Savannakhet from Bkk, I was looking to do Bbk / Savannakhet by plane but plane tickets are really expensive!
hello, gues! I need to move from Pattaya to Chiang Mai. Don't have furniture, however, there are a lot of boxes, computer e.t.c that should be transfered. May be you have ideas how to arrange the transfer in a cheap and easy way? Moving companies or smth like this?
Man in Grees Bus uniform gave me 100 Baht and change?
I purchased seat 3A on VIP bus departing from Chiang Mai at 10:30 today going to Chiang Rai (purchased days ago on green bus app). I show up early and have a seat near platforms 20 and 21. Someone from Greenbus comes by and I show him my printed confirmation and he hands me a little bag with a little money (even has my name on the paper in the bag) I assume I need to give it to the bus driver or something but later after arriving in Chiang Rai, my friend picks me up and we go out for lunch. Later at my hotel I start unpacking at I empty my pockets and still have the bag of money.
Now did I unintentionally cheat someone?
The VIP bus is supposed to have only three seats per row and this bus had 4, and every seat was occupied. Did the reimburse me because they changed the type of bus? Still had my 3A seat I selected on the app, but the 3A on the app was first row single seat on right hand side, and now 3A was third row left side window seat.
