Hi All, I am investigating longer term Visas for Thailand. I am from the UK. I have a longterm girlfriend here and have recently retired. A marriage visa is the ultimate goal. However on some of the Visa requirements proof of Medical Insurance is required. I had a Heart Attack in 2018 which required a stent, on speaking to AXA, they told me it will be impossible to get any Insurance. I understand pre-existing conditions maybe excluded, but they said "not possible to get any insurance". Has anyone had recent experience of this and can point me to a solution? Thank you in advance.
Can anyone recommend any health insurance, I'm originally from the U.K. so never had to worry about any health care needs. I'm looking at staying in Thailand with my DTV so want to make sure I'm covered.
I am currently still in Perth Australia, I am looking at applying for the new DTV visa soft power option for medical treatments for my menopause, I am in touch with Samitivej Thon Buri hospital at the moment, what I am wanting to know is, can I apply for medical insurance and if so can anyone recommend an insurance company that will cover this sort of treatment, preferably one where I can just submit a claim without having to pay for it in advance, thanks
Anybody had problems with Pacific Cross not paying hospital bills? Any advice? We are in the hospital and having problems with them paying the bill.
P.S. Please, I'm looking ONLY for opinions/advice from those who have or have had Pacific Cross insurance, not opinions of insurance or other companies to consider. So, no rants and opinions about the pros and cons of insurance. Thanks.
I'm traveling to Thailand for 89 days arriving 4 October.
Aged 75 with pre-existing medical conditions: diabetes type 2 and peripheral neuropathy. Fully understood that these conditions would be excluded. Just need cover for accident and emergencies.
Axa Sawadee have turned down my online application due to these pre-existing medical conditions. I have emailed them about this and waiting for a response.
Any suggestions? Have previously contacted some specialists but all say too old to quote.
In the vast expanse of experience here am seeking advice on best health insurance for person with no medical issues but age of 71!!! Research is again conflicting 🤔!! Assistance appreciated !! Cheers
I am considering getting a health care insurance policy and would like to get some advice regarding pre existing conditions. I don’t have any looming health issues, but have collected a few pre existing conditions. Not going to go into details online for obvious reasons. Are pre existing conditions excluded forever or just in the first year? Is the premium reduced in that first year because they are excluded. Is there a guarantee of renewal after the first year/ trial period when the exclusion is no longer valid. I hate to waste money on premiums for coverage I won’t be afforded now or in the future. Appreciation for any advice before I meet with an agent. Examples/experience with various policy types etc. - thanks!
