Question here for the DTV holders currently residing in Thailand longer than 180 days per year therefore becoming liable for Thai income tax returns. Does anyone here have any experience dealing with a local agent that understands the situation and double tax treaties? I’m a full time online freelancer earning %100 of my income from Australian clients and pay Australian income taxes and GST. Any experience from others or recommendations for a local agent would be appreciated as we are intending to stay for 1 full year leaving the country only a few times between those 180 day periods for some other travel. From what I understand you’re only taxed on what is remitted into Thailand however it seems largely a grey area.
Could anybody with a DTV visa help advise, as I couldn't find the information online.
This may be specific to the UK, as I am unsure of the laws that other countries have.
The UK seems to have a law that you cannot work outside of the country for more than 180 days per year. My company is fine with me working anywhere in the world, but their concern is taxes, and that they will be required to pay foreign taxes, or that we will break some laws by doing this.
I currently (and will continue to) pay taxes in the UK as I am a resident there, but does anybody know if there are implications for me working abroad, or any steps myself and my company would need to take.
Did anyone undergo the procedures of obtaining citizenship, specifically after marriage visa? How long did you wait before applying? Was the procedure hard?
Looking forward to hear from people who have done it before 🙏🏼
I am planning to apply for a 1 year non immigrant o marriage visa extension at the end of the year. For years, I have applied on the basis of having 400k in my account, but this year I plan to apply on the basis of salary.
What documents will I need to bring to prove this?
