Advice please for an expat friend contemplating closing a private limited company he co-owns with a Thai (as per 51% requirement) . The Thai partner is not interested to keep the company either. The company has been dormant and kept for the potential of buying property here. However, things have changed for him and he doesn't need the company anymore.
To not incur any more costs, like having to pay for the closing of a company (apparently costs like 15 to 20K?), se wants to offer the company up for someone else to take over - who can pay for the change of names, addresses...etc...
Any suggestions for the best way to do this or any other sound advice regarding this?
My fiancé and myself we’re talking about starting a business and I do know if we start a business together she has them 51% of the business that’s fine with me. I’m asking is if we would start a business together would I be able to get a business visa.
I’m currently in the USA and she of course is in Thailand
Set up a company 3 months ago. Does anyone know how long the 2 million baht should stay in the business current account for? A set time or it has to still be in there during initial visa and wp applications, extensions, renewals.
And what percentage/amount of it is ok to withdraw? (to put for example into a personal, less taxed and better rate savings account)
Or if 2 million has to stay in the business account is it ok for the majority of that to be put it into a business saving account. Any info appreciated
I am looking at buying a bar in the North of the country. My Thai girlfriend will be running it. Could I get a B visa to stay in Thailand, as I don't want a work permit. Is it allowed? Thanks
