I just spent 2 months in Thailand using the visa exemption. Next December I would like to spend 3 months so I know I can get a 30 days extension on my visa exemption or a tourist visa but will the airlines accept a 90 day flight with the initial 60 day visa exemption based on me getting a 30 day extension later?

Further to my earlier post. I am flying to Australia December 14th and returning to Thailand January 18th. Unfortunately, when I booked my airline ticket, I was not looking at the correct dates. My O-A visa states valid until 6 January 2020 however the " admitted until " stamp reads 20th January 2020. You can see where I went wrong.
My question is this. If I fly down to KL on December 13th then fly back into Thailand December 13th, I am assuming I will be stamped back in until 12 December 2020, however....
December 14 I depart Thailand for Australia, returning January 18th. I am thinking I will need to get a re-entry permit at Phuket Airport before I depart for Australia on December 14th?
