TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a flight from DMK landing at 7:50 AM, with a domestic flight from BKK at 11:25 AM. Community responses indicate that, while challenging, it is possible to make the transfer if properly planned. Suggestions include taking a taxi to save time and prioritizing swift immigration clearance. A shuttle bus exists between DMK and BKK that takes about 40 minutes, but traffic and delays could affect the timing. Checking if AirAsia now operates from BKK, as well as the option of rebooking to simplify the journey, were also discussed.

I've done it many times, from touchdown to checked in in under 2 hours, use the taxi rank on the ground floor

I have flown from kl to BKK to kk a few times, you will have time it's only a 2 hour flight to bkk

I would see if you can book a taxi or car in advance. Sometimes you can queue a long time at DMK.

Alternatively, just rebook your flight from DMK. Yes, you’ll probably lose most of your fare but you’ll save on the taxi, which can be 600 baht.

Thanks guys . So I'll be better off catching a taxi to Phaya thai ARL from the airport instead of catching Mrt to Beng Sue .??

Would that be quicker ??

Plenty of time.

But, I would just rebook my BBK-KKC ticket.

If it’s a weekday be prepared for possible traffic delays if you take a car. If you know the train systems well then you should be ok, though going via train from airport to airport will require about 3-4 trains…. Red line, MRT, BTS, Airport link. Otherwise taxi to nearest BTS station may be a good option and proceed from there as Kenny stated above

I think you have enough time. Takes about 1hr 30mins to get to bkk from dmk that’s if you know exactly how to get there by train without getting sidetrack. It’s actually not that hard. Take the bts to Phaya Thai then airport rail link to bkk.

Prob not

There is a free shuttle bus between the 2 airports. Takes about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask them to tag your luggage, rapid transit. Then it will get loaded last & come off first.

You'll probably have enough time. If you're very worried I would see if you can upgrade your ticket to get the priority checkin for your flight from BKK. That's the only thing that saved me once when I had about 90 minutes from the time my flight landed at BKK until my flight was supposed to depart at DMK. They only accepted my check-in bag at the priority desk if I signed a waiver saying I understand I was checking it in late and it might not be on my plane.

Just don't stop to pee or anything when you get off your plane, make a bee line straight to immigration so you can get in front of everyone and get through as quick as possible. This is possibly your longest potential delay. Then get your bags and get a car (don't try to take the bus if you're tight for time) straight to BKK and checkin. As long as your flight isn't delayed to DMK you should be fine. And AirAsia flights are almost always delayed on departure, so you might get a little extra cushion there as well.
