Hello all, 

I’m wondering if anyone has any up to date information on which of the southern Malaysian borders are easiest to cross over at the moment. Coming from either Penang or Kota Baru. 

I’ve been told via my Thai friend that after the attacks in the south there have been more restrictions/emerency orders in the southern regions bordering Malaysia. 

Does anyone know if this effects some border entries? Or perhaps someone who has just crossed from Penang/Kota B can share their experience.

That's right yeah, just wanted to double check the border situation as I'm arriving in Malaysia tomorrow for a week or so.

The article I'm linking is what my friend was referring to, although I just translated the last section which says more restrictions will take place in the region from December 1st - but could still be a chance it's tightened things up now at the borders? who knows

I suppose regardless of it I'm still wondering which borders are generally considered the easiest to cross down there
