Bearing in mind the restrictions that Thailand has for ex-pats can anybody say which of the following has the fewest rules for living in Laos, Cambodia or Vietnam?

Yes iived in Cambodia for over a year before no issues. I came with a 6 month visa and extended it twice. Not one problem. I'm thinking of moving back. Thailand has become too stressful and unnecessary with the visa changes every other rainstorm. 🙄

. Typical tourists dont stay that long. If they can afford 3-6 months "holiday" a year then they can afford an elite visa.

Good for you, but I didn't ask how you managed to live here with out any problems I asked which of our neighbours had the fewest restrictions.

. There are correct visas. Spouse visas for spouses. Work visas for workers. Volunteer visas for volunreers. Dependant visas for dependants. Education visas for students. Business visas for business owners.

If you dont fit into one of these categories then you are a tourist. And theres a visa for that too,

There is no correct visa for most people under 40. If there was, everyone would be using it instead of tourist visas.

If you have the correct visa and enough in the bank but if you become an extended tourist sure you have a problem
