TLDR : Answer Summary
This post seeks recommendations for a trustworthy and inexpensive visa agent in Bangkok and discusses whether one can apply for an ED visa while still in Thailand. Responses indicate that it's possible to convert to an ED visa from within Thailand if the school provides necessary documentation, and question the need for an agent since schools typically handle the application process.
It's a two part question. I was also wondering if I should just get the non-immigrant O visa. I want to do a combination of Social Security and residual income to reach the $65k Baht per mont requirment, if I go that rout.
if you want to go the 65k transferred into Thailand for 12 consecutive months for retirement your first year MUST BE 800k in your Thai bank account not dropping below that for 3 months after your first extension stamp and CANNOT drop below 400k for the rest of the year.
