I hope the wiser heads can help me with this question. The company I work for has a foreign shareholder who wishes to come an go from Thailand but does not want or need a work permit since he will not be working. Any suggestions on what visa to apply for so that he can come and go all year?

Does not work that way, he should apply for this visa before he makes his way into Thailand at the Thai Consulate in his home country.
