Hi. Yesterday I went to Thai Immigration to get the information I needed to get a Marriage extension for my Non O Visa. I had printed out a Google Map of where I live but was told they wouldnt accept it. I was handed a form to draw my own map but couldnt get guidance on how to draw it. What size area it should cover, landmarks such as local businesses or Govt buildings and Road numbers etc.
Can anyone give me advice please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on creating a hand-drawn map for their Marriage extension application related to a Non-O Visa, as the Thai Immigration office does not accept printed Google Maps. Community members offer advice on what details to include in the map, such as major roads, local landmarks, and notable businesses. They emphasize simplicity and practicality, suggesting to showcase areas familiar to the user to demonstrate knowledge of their residence.

A map like this works FINE (and has every year they've asked for a hand drawn map). Follow the KISS adage (Keep It Super Simple) 😛

Which immigration office refused to accept Google Maps printout? In Bangkok (Immigration Division 1) I gave them printout 5 years in row and never was a problem. Sorry, one time the street name wasn't visible, so they requested to write it manually :)

I draw a pretty basic one. It shows where I live, the nearby school, the road towards immigration from the village and I stick arrows indicating names of nearby villages of any consequence at main junctions. It doesn't have to be a work of art

Not everyone can draw....print the G Map, then place on window. Cover with blank paper and copy the main roads and name. Include nearby transport stations, supermarkets, 7.11's or wats.
that’ll be way too much work. What they are looking for is proof that a person knows where they are living. They do NOT need directions on how to get to the house.
