Hello, I'm currently on a Non-O visa for marriage. I can no longer comply with the '400k in the bank' requirement. The visa will expire on June 28th. I can enroll in a BA program at a Thai university, but they will probably provide the documents to apply for an ED visa shortly after aforementioned date. 

What is the best approach to bridge this short gap? I'm from The Netherlands, which allows their citizens to come back, so no Covid extension can be obtained. 

Do I need to leave the country and come back as visa exempt, and apply for the ED visa after that, or is there a way I can stay?

get a 60 day visit thai family extension (if you haven't gotten one already this entry) OR apply for a 60 day covid extension and that will give the school 2 months to get the documentation to you. Now as far as can you go to an ED visa/extension without leaving the country, that is between you, the school and the immigration office you're dealing with. You need to be talking to the uni & the immigration office

Are you still Married to a Thai?

If you need added time to top up the bank account balance to 400,000 ....you could apply for the 60 days family visit extension... at end of this year's stamp in your passport.

Then start again with the one year extension of stay based on Marriage to Thai.
