Hi everyone. I hope anyone can help me figure it out. Right now im holding student visa and will soon expired on this 24th. After long waiting I finally have the flight back to Vietnam on 27th. So during that 3 days what should I do to stay legally, should I go extend to tourist visa just to stay 3 days legally or just ignore and pay 500baht for 3 days without do new visa. (Sorry for broken english)

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing an imminent expiration of their student visa and is seeking advice on how to remain in Thailand legally for three days until their flight to Vietnam. Comments suggest applying for a 60-day extension based on COVID-19 regulations before the current visa expires, highlighting that it's an easy process for 1,900 baht at local immigration and providing security in case of flight cancellations.

Get the 60 days COVID extension...its easy.

1,900 Thai baht at local immigration...before the 24th.

That way you are legal ..and if your flight to Vietnam cancels..no problem for you.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

The last day (for now) they are selling the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is March 30. If they renew it, I received purchasing it to get another 60 days. If the 24th is this month, go and get the extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19
