My tourist visa app got kicked back 4 or 5 times (I'm looking at you Brandon!) asking for different documents. Finally it went into document processing status. It's been 3 days. No reply and I am about to board my flight. At this point there is nothing to be done- it's just exciting and I thought I would share. I'll get to the desk and they will ask if I have a visa and I will say "I've no idea kup" 555.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their experience of having their Thailand tourist visa application rejected multiple times before finally reaching the document processing stage. As their flight approaches, they express a mix of excitement and anxiety over the uncertainty of their visa status, humorously mentioning they might not have a visa upon arrival. Comments from the community suggest that the responsibility for visa approval lies with the applicant, encouraging due diligence in the application process and indicating the importance of submitting required documentation correctly.
I applied twice, and paid for an online visa. Never heard anything back and was never issued the visa, it was, just eventually deleted.

So I just got the approval- boarding in Taiwan any minute. And at least 2, maybe 3, of the docs were rejected and then accepted when I resubmitted them without change (I did add the note to the flight doc)...

you say they asked for "different docs" but not specified which ones, or if you sent them. if they want a document, no amount of "explanations" will resolve it, only the requested documents... no exceptions. if you can't supply the docs, you can play resubmit 1000's of times, and never get past that point.
the problem is the language is not verbose. So the application asks for your lodging confirmation, I rent a room and upload the confirmation, then just before close of business the next day I get an email saying the submission was incomplete and to please upload the lodging confrontation. But it does not say what was wrong with the original submission. Same for flights. I submitted my itinerary for my flight in and my flight out. Email comes saying "upload your itinerary" so I put a note at the top of the doc "this os my itinerary see pages 3 and 9" and then it doesn't get locked back. Did they not look? Why was the first time not okay, but the second time okay? I seem to have these problems about every other trip.
I'm often dumb. But I usually can see how/why I am dumb. Here it is a mystery.

Seriously? Blaming the president for Visa rejection because you didnβt supply the documents required? Yes, I had mine denied too but I simply asked what documents they needed and gave them every bit they asked for. Boom! Visa approved.

you will get 30 day gratis!!!
if you are still worried book a cheap cheap ticket to a neighbouring country sort yourself out and return??
Took me one month and I came without the visa I paid for ... They asked me PDF flight tickets on their last e-mail . I bought trough edreams and they couldn't provide me PDF tickets ... so buy your flight from Agoda or some website that will fit their requirements π€‘
I had same problem. Ended up having to fly to Cambodia for weekend so could reenter for another 30 days. The embassy asked questions which I answered and they acknowledged the responses, but in the end no visa and could not hand them written responses. They refused to accept!
Exactly -but if you have applied for a 6 months multiple entry and paid the fee ,coming without that visa-yes 30 day but you then have to jump through hoops to extend to your original 6mths plan.More expense- immigration -border runs-Visa agency.jmo Regards
the replies below are derps. I've never had it take more than a few days. This is just right because of the number of times they requested the same documents again.
Example: I appended the pdf for my exit flight to the pdf of my entry flight and it was kicked back. I manually added a sentence explaining that both itineraries were in the pdf and then it went through. Not sure if it was an automated rejection or a lazy reviewer.
Thai Embassy Ottawa Canada - 5-6 weeks and pray it gets approved in time for flight departure. 2 years in a row for me had to cancel flights.A nightmare.
once my docs are "accepted" (as opposed to them requesting the same doc again) it has taken only a few days each time. This time it took longer to get the docs accepted and I don't know why.
I entered Thailand in January 2021 on visa exempt and got married to my Thai wife then I went and got an Non O retirement visa before the visa exempt expired
it is possible and legal to get a Non O in Thailand on a visa exempt entry. Many people have said so, yet you push back. You just might want to fo some research before you doubt the information shared. Otherwise, why post anything at all ?
"legally through immigration" that itself is a major f#cking contradiction. There is little else more questionable than ANYTHING involving thai immigration. Like saying your tax accounts are legit, signed off by a Finance Officer from Uganda.
not saying anything about you. I believe what you say. I'm saying that anything involving thai immigration is no guarantee, or proof of anything, given that we should all now know that thai immigration is one of the most blatant corrupt government bodies outside of the third world, on a petty scale with their 300-500 baht imaginary charges, or to turn a blind eye to something or someone, upto the mass movement, at lunchtimes, of people that should or shouldn't be allowed through border points under scrutinisation, and of course don't forget the developing industry of Visa Agents, with close ties with immigration itself. Surely you've seen the envelopes passed around, and they ain't writing letters to each other. Therefore a proven criminals word, is pretty much worthless. Agents are just the English speaking cashiers that collect money and pass it on to which ever immigration Officer, at suitable, sensible, safe and secure time and place, usually a carpark to hand over single payment, covering hundreds or thousands of moody immigration services, a preferred alternative to fumbling disorganised idiot tourists dropping cash, notes and coins everywhere while trying to covertly slip the IO his 2000 baht 'fee'.
I tried to explain it to him last week but he won't listen .my visa didn't come b4 I flew, came 30 days exempt, extended, 30day,because I'm married IO.
Said I could extended for another 60 days based on marriage, in the mean time my visa email arrived,
bro, I told you it was 5am local time and not to call me and you tried to call me anyway. Further, you absolutely MUST know at this point you will get different results on different days at different offices. Your random anecdote, at 5am, wasn't going to help me.
wasn't random just trying to help ,you thought I was a Crank, hahaha π you trying to blame Brandon, it you that's the Crank, you don't listen to advice,
You weren't that bothered about your visa situation a few days ago, more about bringing in power tools,Billy Brown comes to mind,Don't forget to pack your Drill,
we will see, I've learned stuff changes with the wind. Ive been told they want you to have the 60 days because of how long it takes to do the change over. If I wind up entering exempt I will go and ask before I take action. I might just wait until after the next time I fly out to work or whatever.
make sure you go to government office to make it legal, when I did mine 12 years ago took about a hour.
Don't know if you want to take wife to your country, but if you do translated you married certificate when you get it ,get it stamped, and register your marriage at your embassy, it's hard work if you don't, and want to go down that route
my Non O visa didn't come on time this time so I come 30 days visa exempt, next day I went to local immigration and extended for 30 days giving you time to get documents sorted, when you get married cert you can go back get another extension for 60 day based on marriage,
Then if you have funds in thai bank extended again for 1 year
