Hi everybody. I have a little situation that I would like some advice on. I am on a multiple entry marriage visa and My current passport has no pages left. I sent my passport off to renew it and get a new one. However it may take a while to get it back. What if the borders do not open after July 31st?  Also if the borders do open up and I dont have enough time to arrange insurance can I get back in the country? I am currently applying for a work permit for my new job which starts in July. I would appreciate any advice you guys can give. Thanks.

You have to wait for your new passport to continue, as you send your passport away, unless you have saved copies you can not apply for a work permit. Without a passport you can not apply for an Extension of Stay, you can not leave the country so only option is try to contact to who ever you send you passport and ask how long it is going to take to send you a new one.

I contacted them yesterday and they said I should have it back by July 20th. The process for the work permit has already been processed and I am just waiting on picking it up. I did tell my employer already but she insisted on me using photocopies to apply. Not sure If I will actually be able to pick the permit up or not.
