TLDR : Answer Summary
The user experienced an issue where their old passport's information was not updated in the Thai immigration system after renewing their passport, despite having submitted both passports to the immigration office. This has caused confusion and concern.

i didnt know i had to leave the country, i applied for the new passport online to the US after 21 days i got the new passport back and took both to the immigration office, which is what i was supposed to do!

FIRST, when you get a new passport IN thalland and go to the immigration office to get the stamps transferred it does NOTHING to put you into the 90 day online system on the new passport :/
EVEN doing one 90 day report in person WITH the new passport number won't do that.
you would have to leave and come back to get the new passport number into the system for the 90 day online program
