What should I do if my non-B visa is about to expire while changing my workplace in Thailand?

Good afternoon! 

I have some questions. 

My non B visa will be expired on 10th of october. My current work permit will still be not expired BUT I am changing my work place in October. My agency now will cancel my visa in 1st of october. I already have 1 tourist visa and 2 border stamps.

What should I do regards to my situation? Should I wait until my non B gets cancelled and get a new one in Laos? Will there be any problems? (I heard that you can get only 1 tourist visa and cannot enter Thailand more than 3 times a year, is that true?)

If you're still on the actual B visa you just get your work permit changed to new employer.

However.

If you're on an extension of a B visa it cancels the day you cease working there and you need to start the whole process again .
