What Should I Do About My Upcoming Overstay on a METV in Thailand?

The way to max your time out here on a 6 month METV is:

get the visa as close to when you're coming here as you can so that you're not burning the validity of the visa down not being here. It's valid for 6 months from the date they issue it not from the date you enter.

Enter get 60 days,

-when that is running out, exit/re-enter get another 60 days

-when that is running out, exit/re-enter get another 60 days

-when the VISA is going to expire, exit/re-enter to get a final 60 days (taking you to almost 8 months)

-extend the last entry by 30 days at the immigration office for 1900baht that takes you to almost 9 months :)

Change your flight...avoid the overstay fine and stamp. Or do as

suggested...get an extension at Thai Immigration for 1,900 Thai baht.

At the moment the overstay stamp only effect the application of the Thai Elite Visa or a any visa at the Thai Consulate in Penang.

how could you mix your dates up? They STAMP how long you can stay IN your passport :/

Be that as it may, you'd pay 1000baght overstay fine AND have an overstay stamp in your passport (which at this time doesn't hurt you from getting more visas), OR you go get a 30 day extension at the immigration office for 1900baht.

All I can say is PAY ATTENTION to you entry stamps in the future...
