Just a little bit of advice. When you receive any stamp in your passport before you leave the desk make sure you can clearly read the stamp.

This week came from Laos and on arrival at Thai immigration they could not read the exit stamp from Laos, to be honest it was very faint. After being told to return to Laos to get another visa and entry and exit stamps the senior guy did let me in. They were polite and helpful. But just beware!

Some countries don't provide exit stamps. Notable among them is the US.

So anyone who leaves Thailand for the US can be sent back to the US uponbreturn to Thailand, for lack of a legible exit stamp from the US?

The post was about a faint , unreadable stamp on exit from Lao

But OP did not state it was a land crossing until he replied to my comment

Which negated my comment to fly in and out, but the advice is still good information

I could prove I was in Laos as I had a Laos visa. Nothing to do with the stamp though.

I am just telling my experience so others will be aware. Don't want to write a novel about it.
