Not a wise decision...as Thai Embassy or Consulate are NOW asking for proof of the money in the applicant's bank account after they submitted the DTV application.

nope, you were clear like mud. You didn’t say that at all. You just blurted out 2m without context. Could have meant agent fees, fee per person, bribery to immigration, travel cost to exit the country as the DTV cannot be done in country.
