Hello everybody !

I'm currently staying in Thailand on a Visa exemption which I extended on 10th of November until 10th of December. Total : 60 days on Visa exemption.

What would be the best option to stay another 30 or 60 days here ? I'm looking for a job but I'm not sure that I will have it secured by the 10th of December...so better safe than sorry, I'd like to anticipate and do the correct process to stay here 1 month more on a Tourist Visa/or Exemption (but I think you can only get 2 per calendar year which I already did).

Precisions : UK passport. Age 33. Been in Thailand before but it doesn't appear on this passport as it's new. Never stayed more than two months before, never tried to live here before and never had any issue with Immigration Officer or Police.

You can fly out then back in as many times as you want. Some seem to get questioned at arrivals but there's technically no limit on it. That gets you the 30 days and then you extend 30 more.

Fly out to Vietnam, Malaysia or do a border bounce to Laos and get a SETV, which will be good for 60 days, plus 30 days.

Have you already made two visa-exempt LAND entries in 2017? If so you need to go out and re-enter by air visa-exempt (30 days + 30 more extendable) or go somewhere like Vientiane, Penang, etc. and get a tourist visa (60+30 extendable).

So you have the option of doing land border hop for 30 days visa exempt, which could be extended 30 days more at local immigration for 1900 baht. OR, yes go get a tourist visa in neighboring country which would get you 60 days with optional 30 day extension. Either way you can leave/re-enter by land.

I entered the country by plane on 13th october. Got a Visa exemption that I extended once at Bangkok Immigration. That's all. I guess the Tourist Visa is the best idea : can I come back by land with this Visa ?

To get another Visa Exempt Entry for 30 days you can cross a border and directly come back, but limited to two times a calendar year. Or fly out to other country and come back, official unlimited. Or stay few days abroad and apply for the Single Entry Tourist Visa which give you 60 days at a Thai Embassy or Consulate.

My personal advice: Go to neighbor country, apply for tourist visa (1000 Thb) apply day 1, pick up next working day and come back for 60 days. Can also be extended with 30 days at immigration.

You will have to either go to Loas and apply of a tourist visa or go back to your country and apply for one there.. i. Cant see any other options.. unless you applied for a different type of visa which you can get in Thailand like a student visa.

>Yes I'd like to learn Thai actually, but the schools I found are about 30 000 bahts for a year...and since I'm looking for a job, I would need to cancel the student Visa to get a WP...etc. So it's quite a big spent for something I might need to cancel in the end.

My advice would be to take a bus to Loas and get yourself a tourist visa which is good here for 60 days + 30 days

I dont live in BKK so cant help there.... it is another option. But it might not be worth while doing it just for the visa purposes. But worth considering if you wanted to genuinely learn the language.

Thanks ! To apply for a student Visa I would need to pay for Thai Lessons school, right ? Any idea where I could find a cheap one in Bangkok ? Any idea of the prices ? I've asked google many times but he didn't give me lots of options :)
