Is the validity period to enter Thailand still 90days from issuance?
The LA consulate website only states "to not apply too early".
Just trying to plan the timing of pulling together required documents (background, bank, doctor note, etc.)
Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The validity period to enter Thailand with a Non-OA visa is one year from the date of issuance, not the previously assumed 90 days. Once issued, the visa allows entry at any time within that year, and the holder will be stamped in for one year upon arrival. It's important to note that the entry stamp duration is linked to the health insurance coverage of the visa, expiring only when the insurance coverage ends.
OA RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
Go to the OA Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.
For immediate assistance, contact Thai Visa Centre directly via LINE at @ThaiVisaCentre or Email them.
Explore recent discussions by using the OA Retirement Visa tag in the search box at the top of the page.
Keep in mind if you enter Thailand months after you OA Visa is issued you will be stamped in until the end of Health Insurance Coverage. For example my latest OA was issued on Jan 14 2021. I entered Thailand on Feb 14 2021(This is because the old COE took almost 3 weeks to get issued). My OA Health Insurance expires on Jan 14 2022. I got stamped in util Jan 14 2022.
sure but it was back in Jan 2021 and the process is now entirely Electronic. I had to actually mail my passport to the consulate (LA) with a SASE only through US Post in order to get the visa affixed to the passport(it was a pain and so was the COE).

You have one year to enter, and you are stamped in for one year, irrespective of the date you enter
