Anyone know what the 2 day processing time at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Laos means? I have an appointment for Monday Nov. 11th at 9:30AM. Does that mean I'll get back my passport by Wednesday morning?
I'm switching from Elite visa to Work visa. I'm presuming the airline will want to see a return ticket to Thailand before boarding me to fly to Laos, and it would be great to be able to book a flight for Wednesday afternoon/evening so I can return to my normal life on Thursday.
What's the worst case scenario for when I would get the documents back? Anyone have recent experience to share? Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 2-day processing time at the Thai Embassy in Vientiane means you can expect to pick up your passport on Wednesday afternoon if your appointment is on Monday morning. It's advised to plan your travel accordingly, as the embassy typically processes your documents in 2 working days after the application day. There's a possibility you won't need to show a return flight to Thailand, as the embassy understands that applicants are traveling specifically for visa procedures.
The processing time in Vientiane is 2 working days (not counting the day you apply) so if you have an appt on Monday you will be able to go back to pick up your passport on Wednesday afternoon after 1:30 PM ๐
Doubt they will even care if you have onward flight leaving Lao because they know you're just there to apply for a visa and come back to thailand
