Hello. Regarding copies needed to apply for a 30 day extension at mtt, does the passport data page need to be in color, or is b&w adequate?
Docs needed?
2 photos
2 copies of passport data page
2 copies of entry stamp and tm6
Tm30 - I've heard it's not always needed, but I've got it anyway.
Tm7 - can be obtained and filled out on location.
Hotel card and copies of receipts of rent ?
I know answers will vary. Thanks for your input.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 30-day extension at MTT, you'll need to provide several documents. Two copies of your passport data page (black and white is acceptable), two copies of your entry stamp and TM6, two photos, a TM30 form (which may not always be required but it's good to have), and the TM7 form can be filled out on-site. Additionally, bring a hotel card and receipts for rent, as well as 1,900 THB for the fee. Note that MTT has a cap of 300 people per day for visa extensions.
Remember they have a hard limit of 300 people per day in section K <- the one at MTT that does extensions on visa exempt entry people. Once they hit that they stop taking people or handing out queue numbers for the day for that section
right, to let the zombie horde (that gets there at the crack of dawn) get in and get to the areas they need

Black and White copies are sufficient. I recently went through this process at MTT 2 months ago. The documents you listed are sufficient. They did NOT ask for my TM30 but like you said, it is good to have it anyway. Lastly, don't forget to have 1,900 THB. Good Luck.
