I need to go to immigration tomorrow to do my first 90-day report (I'm on a non-immigrant-O visa).
Am I right in thinking all I need is the TM.47 and my passport?
I don't think my address is registered yet, so should I do the TM 30 too? I currently rent and change places quite regularly.
Any advice appreciated thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing to file their first 90-day report for a non-immigrant-O visa and is inquiring about the necessary documents, specifically the TM.47 form and their passport. They also express uncertainty about whether they need to submit a TM.30 form due to not having their address registered, as they frequently change rental locations.
they usually don't IF you're using the same address that you used for your extension to file the 90 day report. ๐ BUT they can you're right

and how do you know you have to do a 90 day report? Did they put a paper in your passport when you got your long term extension like this telling you when the first 90 day report was due?
Hey Tod, yes. there is a paper in my passport telling me to do the 90 day report on 14 Septmeber

hmm my address has changed, so I will ask my landlord if he has filed the TM30. If he hasn't, do you know if I can just ask him to complete it and then take that with me too?
post on a phuket f/b page and ask how to file a TM30 there
OR
to be completely honest (if you got the extension from that phuket office) just use the old address, file your 90 day report and then worry about the TM30 after that
I have a feeling there wasn't a TM30 filed, because I was trying to get my vaccination but I spoke to the lady that did my visa for me and she said to register my address first. I assumed this would have been done with the visa, but I guess not
as long as you use the same address you used when you got the extension (the day they gave you that paper) you shouldn't need anything but a filled out TM47 90 day report form and your passport and that slip of paper
