TLDR : Answer Summary
To get a 30-day extension at Jomtien Immigration, you need to apply during the last week of your current visa validity. Essential documents include your passport, a passport photo, the TM30 form, and a TM7 form filled out. It might be helpful to bring proof of residence, such as a condo contract or a residence certificate. Some users recommend hiring an agent to handle the process efficiently and avoid long queues, while others suggest simply asking for a handout at the information desk at immigration for a complete list of requirements.
I just did it at the immig office near the Chiang Mai airports 2 days ago...it went smoothly, they're very organized there...it was my first renewal so I was nervous๐๐. Just be sure you have the TM 30 and it has a 'leave' date
same problem with writing - should have been "wasn't sure". Sorry - couldn't resist ๐ ๐

You donโt need an agent all you need is your passport and you can show up even a day before your schedule to leave the country, but itโs better to go a few days early and youโll also need a picture of yourself and usually they have photo places where you can do it real quick close to the immigration

I used an agent in jomtien t avoid the queues...just took my passport and a photo with me...they did the rest
I think it was 1900 for the extension and 1900 for the agent,,,,just pop in an agency and ask them.I did it about three weeks before my visa exemption ended...

Walk in and ask at the first information desk for their handout sheet. Then you know for free what you need. And the extension costs you 1,900
I used Tik Tok visa agent in Jomtien, cost 4000 Baht and they had it sorted in 24 hours, no queuing at immigration, I only went there to meet their rep for photos.

Use an agent they will tell you what you need and do it all for you, worth the dollars
Jomtien immigration will give you the extension when you have under 7 days left on your current stamp, you will require a TM7 form filled out, a passport photo, your current TM30, your passport plus the 1,900 baht for the 30 days extension.
they wanted a copy of my entry stamp....my pic was glued to the tm7... Be careful of the glue, it will soak thru and distort the ink on the opposite page ..
Jomtien immigration can be difficult sometimes so as a precaution do 2 copies of everything also it doesnโt hurt to photocopy your information page of your passport and also your latest entry stamp as well, just in case.
Itโs what I did on the safe side , it seems who you get there tbh

I just did last week at Jomtien for the first time you need passport photos . TM30 , copy of passport photo page and immigration stamp Page x 2 signed ,if in condo a letter or contract to show you reside there then get Residence certificate which you also get from immigration. Go to information they will tell you if you have everything and give you a queue number . Have to do residence cert get a copy then information again for extension . A few hours to do all . I did over 2 days. You can only extend when 7 days or less
you don't know what you were asked for then. A residence certificate is for opening a bank account or getting a drivers license. You need a TM30 for an extension.
you can see them there, on the left , have officce . All wear yellow t shirts

At Jomtien you can only apply during your last week. This is a general list of requirements but each immigration may have different or additional requirements, especially Jomtien.
