Immigration office in Samui have published their requirements regarding yearly extension to Non O A visa (over 50 Retirement or long stay.)
They told me that you can only apply 14 days early and asked me to understand the bottom of letter. I take that as they will only issue single entry visas.
I've added it in two pics so it's easier to zoom in.

Interesting that No 11 appears to be a request for a TM30 completion, I didn't have to do one with my extnsion to stay based on marriage (at Samui) a few months ago. Maybe Samui is now following suit with BKK..
okay, you need to understand that IF you get an in country extension for a year you're already INSIDE thailand and those are sold with no re-entry permit. If you're going to leave the country during the year you BUY either a single re-entry permit for 1000baht or a multiple re-entry permit for 3800baht.
Where did you get your visa for the years you mention>?
Careful not to confuse a visa obtained from an external consulate and an extension to stay from internal Thai immigration.. an extension to stay never comes with exit/re-entry permissions. It's a common misconception.
, it appears without a TM.30 receipt you're not gonna get an extension from the immigration office in Samui :O Or at least you're not gonna get a yearly extension based on being over 50 (retirement) from them, :(
It seems like they are slowly standardising enforcement across the country?

Terry Nicholls with an extension to stay you need a re-entry permit (single or multi) in order to leave Thailand and re-enter. You self-file a TM30 if your landlord or house master hasn't done, or won't do it.

I think we're going to see more and more offices starting to request a receipt of a TM.30 before they'll issue extensions (especially to people getting their first yearly extension, changing addresses OR moving to a new immigration office).
They didn't explain, but asked me to understand the bottom lines.
If you get a M E, why would you need a re entry permit? It would elude to only single entry visas being issued, but I guess we will have to wait to find out.
I've got to go this week, I'm going self-file a TM30 anyway (if my landlady still hasn't/won't do it). What did they mean about the single entry - you have to apply for a single or a multi re-entry permit if you are on an extension to stay?
